Would you like to go on holiday and take your pet with you? Villaggio Mare Si is a perfect place to spend holidays with 4-legged friends in total relaxation. We know how important are your little friends to you, that is why we chose to admit them in all our apartments, in order to give you the chance for a pleasant holiday with them.
By the sea with your inseparable friends
Although very tolerant, it is important to point out that the Municipality of Follonica wants to protect all its tourists, and it is precisely for this reason that an ordinance has been issued that prohibits access to dogs at the Follonica beaches from 8 June to 31 August 2018, from 9.00 to 19.00, with the exception of lifeguard dogs, guide dogs for the blind, police dogs in service and for dog units prepared for nautical rescue. From 7.00 pm to 9.00 am the following morning, however, dogs can be taken to the beach and bathing will be allowed.
However, there are three “pet-friendly” beaches nearby where your pets have no limitations:
1) The Bau Beach at Casetta Civinini, where there is a full dedicated area facing Punta Ala. However, it is advisable to bring everything you need to take care of your pets, as the facilities on the site will not be able to give you much support. 2) The Bau Beach Il Puntone, managed by the Sporting Club Sottovento, where you will find a great service: they will provided you with sun umbrellas and deck chairs, bowls and drinking water. 3) The Pascià Glam Beach in Perelli is probably one of the best pet-friendly beaches on the coast: awarded by the Ministry for animal protection, the area is well equipped and entirely dedicated to animal lovers.
If you simply prefer something more peaceful and relaxing, even inside Mare Si Village there is a dedicated area for your friends with shady spots near the pool, so that they can enjoy coolness and spend the day with you in total relaxation.
Your friends certainly need for long walks: just outside Mare Si Village and getting to the hinterlands you will find many paths for trekking or cycling, while enjoying the spectacular unspoiled landscape of Maremma and the company of your best friend. We are sure your dog will go crazy for it!
Lastly, we inform you that Mare Si VIllage has a partnership with some pet shops, dog sitters and veterinary clinics located in Follonica, so that your pet will not miss anything and will enjoy the holiday in the best way.
